TK Residents Go to Disco Prom

On April 15th, four of our residents had the opportunity to go on an outing to a Disco Prom at Trinity Church in Redlands. Prior to the event, the residents were very excited for prom and asked some of the staff members in special ways to be their “date.” One resident worked with a volunteer to paint a sign that read “will you go to prom with me?” Another resident shyly told a staff member who they wanted to go to prom with, and one asked their CNA to go without prompts and was very confident.

On the day of prom, they dressed up in nice attire, listened to disco music throughout the night, socialized with new friends, took silly pictures with props at a photo booth, and danced the night away on the dance floor. One resident was lucky enough to win a prize and smiled widely when his name was announced on the microphone. The outing to the disco prom went very smoothly and all the Residents had a blast.
