Totally Kids Subacute: A Recognized 5-star Facility

Totally Kids® Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Subacute

is a Recognized 5-star Facility

Our Totally Kids Subacute wing received the highest rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Through this rating system, CMS gives long-term facilities a rating between 1 and 5 stars, with 5 stars representing the highest quality.

To earn our 5-star rating, CMS assessed our subacute facility in the following three areas and sources of information:

  • Health Inspections: The health inspection rating contains information from the last 3 years of onsite inspections, including both standard surveys and any complaint surveys.
  • Staffing: The staffing rating has information about the number of hours of care provided on average to each resident each day by nursing staff.
  • Quality Measures (QMs): The quality measure rating has information on 11 different physical and clinical measures for patients. The rating includes information on the facility’s use of antipsychotic medications in both long-term and short-term patients.

Our subacute wing is a 56-bed facility and offers respite and long-term care and rehabilitation programs for children and young adults, with ages ranging from newborn to 21. Our staff is ready to care for children who have experienced catastrophic illnesses or injuries.

We are proud to have received a 5-star rating because it speaks to the love we have for our patients and our commitment to provide them the best possible level of care.
