The Latest Technologies
Available to your child at Totally Kids are the latest cutting-edge technologies found in the nation's most sophisticated pediatric rehabilitation centers. These include:
- EKSO Bionic Exoskeleton. This remarkable, wearable device allows patients to perform movements and utilize muscles that may have been injured as a result of spinal cord injury, stroke, or other conditions or disorders.
- Virtual Reality. Our virtual reality apps — including video games, music, guided imagery and relaxation training - help with anxiety, pain management and range-of-motion training.
- Biofeedback. Effectively used for pain management and to increase range of motion, biofeedback gives patients the ability to practice new ways to control their own body, leading to improved health condition or physical performance.
- Neurofeedback. Also known as EEG, this therapy allows for the retraining of specific areas of a patient's brain to bring it back to its functional best and has proven to be a safe and promising treatment for children with brain injuries, seizures, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and other symptoms.
- VitalStim Therapy. This non-invasive rehabilitation treatment stimulates the muscles that are responsible for swallowing and helps those muscles relearn how to swallow independently.
Our state-of-the-art facility also features:
- A rehabilitation gym
- Isolation rooms to promote an infection-free environment
- Outdoor therapy gardens
- On-site access to diagnostic imaging and laboratory services
