Team Centered Philosophy of Care
As our name says, we are “Totally Kids” with a unique campus devoted 100% to children. It is here that our employees work in a collaborative manner, believing that teamwork and mutual respect are key ingredients in providing each child with the atmosphere they need to achieve their greatest potential.
We know that love is the greatest healer of all. So beyond offering the latest technologies and best practices for clinical care, we shower our patients and their families with the love and tenderness it takes to inspire children to gain the skills, capabilities and confidence they need to overcome the complications that life has put before them.
The Programs at Totally Kids
Among the continuum of care programs we offer our patients and their families are:
- Pediatric Acute Rehabilitation - delivering safe, effective and timely care to children, adolescents and young adults who are recovering from a complex illness or injury.
- Pediatric Subacute Care - providing visionary medical and nursing post-acute care to children who have clinically complex conditions, many of whom are dependent on technology.
- Totally Infants Program - Expressly designed to treat newborns with medically complex conditions upon discharge from a hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit.
- Circlebrook Intermediate Care - providing a temporary or permanent “home away from home” for children from newborns to 21 years of age who are developmentally disabled or delayed and have a recurring but intermittent need for skilled nursing services.

New members of our respiratory therapy team participate in 52 hours of didactic and clinical preceptorship with an emphasis on respiratory and ventilator management specific to the care of the pediatric patient. Our team works closely with pediatric intensivists from Loma Linda University's Children’s Hospital to assure continuity of care and excellence in practice caring for post-NICU/PICU patients requiring ventilator management.
Recognition and Advancement
Totally Kids’ believes in rewarding nurses for the increased skills they build. Our Clinical Advancement Program, available to all full time nurses after just one year of employment, provides staff advancement opportunities within the organization while remaining in the clinical setting providing direct patient care.
