A magical Valentine’s Day at Totally Kids

Valentine’s Day at Totally Kids was nothing short of magical.

This year, our residents experienced a celebration filled with music, imagination, laughter, and meaningful connection. The halls felt lighter, the smiles were bigger, and the joy was contagious.

We were honored to welcome the Once Upon a Time organization, who brought a little fairytale wonder to our residents. Dressed as beloved Disney princesses, they visited residents both in group settings and at bedside. They sang familiar songs, posed for pictures, and created sweet, personalized moments that made each resident feel seen and special. For many of our residents, music sparks memory, emotion, and engagement, and watching their faces light up during the performances was truly priceless.

The celebration continued with the Sunshine Group, who brought their own energy and creativity to the day. Residents enjoyed an interactive story that invited them to participate, respond, and use their imagination. The excitement carried right into a glowstick party that had residents moving, laughing, and fully immersed in the fun. It was one of those moments where the room felt alive with connection.

At Totally Kids, we believe that experiences like these are more than just holiday activities. They support social engagement, emotional expression, and cognitive stimulation in ways that are both meaningful and memorable. Most importantly, they remind our residents that they are valued and celebrated.

We are incredibly grateful to the Once Upon a Time organization and the Sunshine Group for sharing their time, talent, and heart with our community. Because of volunteers like them, Valentine’s Day was not just a date on the calendar. It was a day filled with magic, movement, and memories that will last well beyond February.
