Exploring the Wonders of the Sea

This past week, some of our residents at Totally Kids had an unforgettable adventure as they visited the Aquarium of the Pacific for the very first time! For many, this was their first opportunity to see the wonders of the ocean up close, and the excitement on their faces said it all.

From watching giant bass swimming gracefully to seeing sea lions and seals playfully interact, every exhibit brought new amazement. Residents were especially fascinated by the live birds soaring in the aviary and the thrilling shark exhibit, where they got to see these incredible creatures up close. The highlight of the trip? The touch pools! Many were thrilled to gently touch a stingray and feel the rough texture of starfish—a truly hands-on experience they won’t forget.

One of the most special moments of the day was seeing the smiles on the residents’ and families’ faces as they enjoyed this memorable experience together. Watching them share in the excitement, point out their favorite sea creatures, and laugh together made this outing truly meaningful.

Beyond the marine life, the day was filled with joy, connection, and a sense of adventure. It was a reminder of how important these experiences are—giving our residents the chance to explore, learn, and simply enjoy being kids. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so magical!
