I am eighteen years old, and I recently sustained two gunshot wounds. One bullet hit me directly in the heart while the other fragmented and hit my vocal cord, piercing my left lung and hitting my T1 vertebrae. I became paralyzed and my dreams were crushed. But Totally Kids gave me hope again. My therapists got me to a point where I can now do everything independently and that helped me regain my confidence. They helped me get my voice back and helped me to deal with my trauma as well. They also provided me with necessities and connected me with the resources we needed to help me financially. I am so glad I went to Totally Kids -- the staff are lovely and the nurses are really nice too.
