Family & Me Days!

Introducing the new Family & Me Day!

The Early Intervention program has started a new class every Friday.  This new program encourages families to become involved with creating memories such as: making footprint butterflies, planting flowers, exploring new textures, and many more fun activities. The Family & Me Day allows families to feel more comfortable interacting with their child and working on their individual developmental goals set by their Early Intervention Coordinator and the rehab staff.

A parent here at Totally Kids shared that after working with the Early Intervention Coordinator on her child’s individual goals, she felt more comfortable to re-position her child onto his stomach and to assist in his care. Experiences such as this one, have strengthened the bond between families and children. Not only that, they have helped create new relationships with staff and families here at Totally Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Here at Totally Kids we encourage family members to ask questions and build relationships with other families who also have children here. It is through these relationships that our parents build a support group that they can lean on. 

The Family & Me Day takes place every Friday from 9:30-11:30 and 1:00 – 2:30.  If you are interested in participating in the Family & Me Day, please contact Kris Million from the Child Development Department. We would love to see you!
