Sharing Christmas with our Friends and Volunteers
The holidays at Totally Kids were extra special this year. We had several events for the children to enjoy. Throughout the month we had events that included live music from different choirs, face painting, a Christmas puppet show, outdoor car show, outdoor light show, Christmas crafts and ornament making activities, and our annual Totally Kids Christmas party. On Christmas Eve, each of our acute rehab and subacute patients were able to come down to the Christmas tree in their pajamas and open up a Christmas gift near the Christmas Tree and get their pictures taken.
Many groups also donated their time to help raise money so that each patient would be able to open up a Christmas present. Some groups were able to donate specific gifts that the patients and residents had on their wish lists. One patient wanted Broncos gear and was very happy on Christmas day when he opened his gift.
These events would not be possible without all of our TK staff and the different groups who worked together to give our children a memorable Christmas. A big thank you goes out to the Operation Care and Compassion ministry from Abundant Living, 760 Mopar High Desert Crew, EagleLight Transportation, AJ Rafael and the Moreno Valley Concert Corale, Laura Phipps and Bishop Randall Samford, The Truong and Wells family, and the many other groups who were involved in donating gifts to our patients.
We appreciate everything you have done and continue to do to make our children’s Christmas a special one. Thank you.
