Christmas Time at Totally Kids
It’s the most wonderful time of the year at Totally Kids Rehabilitation Hospital! Each year we look forward to hosting a Christmas party for our residents, patients and their families. This year we held the party on December 15, and it included a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. We even had several wonderful volunteers dressed as Santa’s elves. After taking pictures, Santa delivered backpacks with brand new blankets to our residents.
The Carolers belonging to a local church youth group added to the Christmas cheer. The festivities included fun activities such as: a workshops where the kids created their own Christmas picture frame, adorned stockings, decorated ornaments, and arranged Christmas wreaths. The kids were also very excited because each activity the accomplished earned them tickets that then allowed them to claim a prize.
The shaved ice station was a huge hit and many asked for the blueberry flavor which gave them the added benefit of walking around with blue lips! Other crowd favorites were the face painting station and the photo booth. There were games for the adults, such as opening presents while wearing mittens, or trying to stick Rudolph the Reindeer’s nose on their nose without using their hands. We aren’t sure who had more fun, the kids or the adults!
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped with our annual Christmas party. Fun was had by all, and Christmas cheer was definitely brought to Totally Kids.
