Picture-Perfect Start to Valentine’s Celebrations!

Love and creativity filled the air at Totally Kids as our Early Intervention residents kicked off Valentine’s celebrations with a special craft and photoshoot! Before the holiday arrived, residents designed hand-painted shirts using their hands and specialty brushes, creating unique keepsakes that reflected their personalities and creativity.

For Picture Day, they proudly wore their handmade shirts while posing for individual and group photos with staff and volunteers. Both the shirts and the pictures became treasured keepsakes, capturing a moment of joy, connection, and self-expression.

Beyond the fun, this activity helped residents in many ways:

🎨 Encouraged Creativity & Sensory Exploration – Exploring colors and textures in a hands-on way.
🤲 Developed Fine & Gross Motor Skills – Strengthening coordination through painting and movement.
📸 Boosted Confidence & Social Engagement – Taking part in the photoshoot built self-esteem and fostered meaningful connections.
❤️ Created Lasting Keepsakes – Families now have special mementos of their child’s creativity and progress.

This was more than just a craft—it was a beautiful way to celebrate each resident’s creativity, growth, and the joy of making memories. Stay tuned for more Valentine’s fun throughout the month!
