Staff members from all departments worked together to host our annual Easter time celebration on March 30. It was a day to remember for patients and residents from every unit on our campus – acute rehab, subacute, intermediate care, and day health. The kids and their families dressed up in nice Easter outfits and headed outside for all of the activities.
An egg hunt kicked off the party with residents and family members searching for eggs hidden in our garden area. A wonderful face painter made beautiful works of art on each child’s face. The petting zoo was the biggest hit as the kids had an opportunity to feed and pet many different animals, as well as ride the ponies. We even had a very special surprise when one of the chickens laid an egg!
During the celebration, the Easter Bunny visited and took pictures with residents, staff, and their families. The event concluded with a delicious barbeque. It was a wonderful experience to eat together and fellowship with one another. The smiles on all the faces tell us the celebration was a big success!
