A Picture Perfect Day at TK

Spring Picture Day at Totally Kids was once again filled with smiles, teamwork, and meaningful moments as residents, students, and staff participated in professional photo sessions provided by Lifetouch.

This year’s Picture Day included residents from Totally Kids and Circlebrook, along with students from the L.I.F.E. Program through Redlands Unified School District. Throughout the day, children and young adults had the opportunity to dress up, smile for the camera, and enjoy a moment that many families look forward to each year.

While school and spring photos may seem like a simple tradition, they carry a much deeper meaning for many of our families. Professional photos capture milestones, personalities, growth, and memories that families treasure for years to come. For some parents, these pictures become framed keepsakes displayed throughout their homes. For others, they document progress and moments they may not have imagined possible during difficult medical journeys.

Picture Day also provides our residents with a sense of normalcy and inclusion. Just like children attending traditional schools, our residents deserve the opportunity to participate in special moments like school photos, spring portraits, and class composites. These experiences help build confidence, encourage self-expression, and create joyful memories.

Events like this require tremendous coordination and teamwork throughout the hospital and school program. Staff from multiple departments, facilities, and programs worked together to ensure residents were dressed, ready, transported, positioned comfortably, and able to participate throughout the day. From fixing outfits and hair to helping encourage smiles and coordinating schedules, everyone played an important role in making the day run smoothly.

We are incredibly grateful to the Lifetouch team for their continued partnership, patience, and kindness during another successful Picture Day. Their photographers and staff always help create a positive and welcoming experience for our residents, students, and families.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Picture Day such a meaningful success. The smiles captured this year will be treasured for years to come.
