A Night to Remember: Light & Power Prom

An unforgettable night filled with joy, celebration, and meaningful moments… our residents had the opportunity to attend the Light & Power Disability Prom hosted by Trinity Church in Redlands, and it was everything you would hope for and more.

From the moment they arrived, the excitement was undeniable. Residents were dressed in formal attire, proudly representing the “Celebrating America” theme in red, white, and blue. Corsages and boutonnieres added a special touch, creating an experience that felt both elegant and memorable.

The night was filled with laughter, music, and dancing. Watching our residents fully embrace the moment, smiling, engaging, and simply enjoying themselves, was a powerful reminder of why opportunities like this matter so much.

We are proud to share that Bryan was awarded Best Dancer and Alyssa received Best Dressed. These recognitions reflect more than just a fun moment. They highlight confidence, self-expression, and the joy of being celebrated.

One of the most meaningful moments of the evening came from a mother who shared that she had once been told her son might not live past a certain age. Being there, watching him out on the dance floor, happy and full of life, was something she never thought she would experience. She expressed how proud and grateful she felt in that moment. It was a reminder to all of us that these experiences are not just events. They are milestones.

This night would not have been possible without the dedication of our staff. We extend a sincere thank you to those who adjusted their schedules and came in to support this event. Your flexibility and commitment made it possible for our residents to participate in something truly special.

We are also incredibly grateful to Trinity Church for hosting such a thoughtful and inclusive prom. Their continued support creates opportunities for our residents to experience joy, connection, and a sense of normalcy.

These are the moments that stay with us. Not just for a night, but for a lifetime.
