This Month in Child Development – August 2015
This month in Child Development, we spent time Under the Sea with our residents. We created decorations and art activities throughout the month and decorated our MP rooms. Our residents enjoyed seeing the decorations and learning about various mammals and fish under the sea. Some of our activities include working on their cognitive skills by labeling shapes, counting fish and matching sea animals. They were developing their fine motor skills by folding foil fish, spray painting fish, and gluing small shapes on turtles. They also had the opportunity to feel various textures including seashells and sand. For the month of September we have created a Circus theme lesson plan. Come visit our MP rooms to view our residents’ masterpieces.
