Easter Festivities

The Recreation Therapy and Child Development Departments kicked off a fun filled Easter Event for the Acute patients & staff. The event featured a Petting Zoo and an Easter Egg Hunt held outside on a beautiful Spring day.

Our kiddos were all smiles as they held, fed, and snuggled with baby lambs, piglets, bunnies, goats, calves, ducks, a small pony and even an adorable alpaca. The alpaca was especially fun. He delighted the kids with his antics, which included stretching his neck a very long way to nab the food at every feeding.

Our kids enjoyed the egg hunt in the outdoor grassy area, collecting colorful treat filled eggs with the baskets they had decorated for the event.

Following the egg hunt, the kids returned to a beautifully decorated Activities Room for an Easter Party, which included catering from Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, an Easter Cookie Competition, a photo booth, and a surprise visit by the Easter Bunny himself! We all had a lots of fun!
