Annual Harvest Festival
This year’s Annual Harvest Celebration was a truly special and magical event. Totally Kids Rehabilitation Hospital held an animated outdoor parade filled with ghouls, princesses, pirates, superheroes, and more! The patients here enjoyed a fun and interactive day full of smiles and surprise characters. Our patients and staff had the opportunity to participate in a costume parade outdoors. Each department created a themed pumpkin display, such as “Harry Potter”, “Charlotte’s Web”, “Encanto”, “Breast Cancer Awareness”, and many more. Staff members passed out various treats and prizes to all the participants during the parade. Everyone in attendance was treated to lunch and various tasty pastries provided by a former patient’s family & Sprouts Farmers Market. There were 3 contests held during the Festivities, “Best Costume” for Adults and Children, and Best Pumpkin amongst the 9 different departments. Families and staff voted in person and online. The day culminated with our subacute resident Marilyn winning the best child’s costume as a colorful “butterfly”, our beloved cosmetologist and patient sitter Timothy winning best adult costume as “ Luisa” from the Encanto theme, and finally, the Child Development Department taking the trophy for the best pumpkin, with their elaborate “Encanto” themed display in our competitive pumpkin competition. Congratulations to the winners.
